Terms and Conditions

Time limit:

All estimates are valid for a period of 3 months, should you wish to proceed with any works relating to any estimate. After the 3 month period, another site inspection will be required.

Payment:

A 25% deposit is required on commencement of work. If stage payments are required they will be determined at the start of the contract. All payments are due in full on satisfactory completion of the contract. If you default in making payment, the entire balance of your account shall be payable and we will charge interest at the current base rate on the amount, together with costs and expenses. Formal action will also be taken through the courts.

Workmanship Guarantee

All work is guaranteed for a period of one year from completion.

Please request a copy of our written guarantee if required.

Material Guarantee

The guarantee on materials varies depending on manufacturer. Please request information if required.

Working on the Highway:

As from January 2005, some local Authorities are requesting searches of all underground pipe work / cables / utilities to be carried out prior to works commencing. Please be aware that utility companies do charge for this information. Your estimate does not include for the cost of these searches.

Local authorities do charge an inspection fee. This is to be paid directly to them from yourselves. The cost of this will be stated on their paperwork.

Should you wish Harwoods to carry out the utility searches on your behalf an administration cost of £60.00 + VAT will be incurred.

All estimates are based on E.&E.O. Terms ( Errors and Omissions Excepted)

The above terms do not affect your rights as a consumer.
